The New Jersey Alliance for Action is pleased to announce the recipients of this year’s prestigious Eagle Awards. The awards will be presented at the Alliance’s Annual dinner scheduled for October 13, 2010 at the Hyatt Regency Hotel in New Brunswick. The dinner attracts over 900 attendees representing a virtual who’s who in New Jersey’s business, labor, government and professional communities. NJ BIZ has called the N.J. Alliance for Action’s dinner "One of New Jersey’s Top Networking Events". This year’s recipients are:

Ellis Vieser Lifetime Achievement Award
Robert Mulcahy, III

Robert Mulcahy’s dedication to public service has vastly improved the quality of life in New Jersey.  His career includes 10 years as Rutgers University Director of Athletics, 19 years as head of the New Jersey Sports & Exposition Authority, Chief of Staff to Governor Brendan Byrne, the first Commissioner of the New Jersey Department of Corrections and Mayor of Mendham.  Bob has worked on many major state capital construction initiatives with the Alliance for Action to boost economic development and create jobs.

James Kehoe

As a leader of organized labor Jim Kehoe, has dedicated his career to improving New Jersey’s economy & creating jobs.  In addition to his positions with the Pipe Trades, Jim is Chairman of the South Jersey Building Trades Council, Chairman of the Casino Reinvestment Development Authority and is a Trustee of Rowan University.

George Alexandridis, P.E.

As Chief Engineer of the Delaware River Joint Toll Bridge Commission for a decade, George Alexandridis oversees development and implementation of the Commission’s $950 million capital program. His strong professional experience as a leader in planning, designing and construction of major transportation infrastructure projects has benefited the entire New Jersey region.

Tonio Burgos has provided nearly four decades of government, civic involvement and legislative affairs counsel on a wide range of public and private issues in the New Jersey/New York area.  His leadership has been critical in the progress of the ARC Tunnel, a project which will create 6,000 jobs and provide New Jersey Transit the ability to expand its services throughout the state.  He has served as a Port Authority of New York & New Jersey Commissioner, Vice Chairman of the New Jersey Economic Development Authority and Director of the PATH commuter rail system.

John B. Wilson

President & CEO
Association of Independent Colleges & Universities in NJ
As President and Chief Executive Officer of the Association of Independent Colleges and Universities in New Jersey, J.B. Wilson has a prominent role in public policy for New Jersey’s fourteen independent colleges and universities. He also oversees the Independent College Fund of New Jersey, which acts as the corporate fund raising consortium for those institutions.
