If we are going to provide relief from the national
recession, we need to keep New Jerseyans working and
keep local economies strong. We need boots on the
ground. We need shovels in the dirt. Critical road and
infrastructure projects need to get underway to help
bridge the recession while providing the long-term
benefits of an improved transportation system. Our
transportation infrastructure is vital to every aspect of
our economy – from moving our workers to their jobs
to moving goods from our ports, factories, and
warehouses, and is critical in our efforts to retaining
jobs and attracting new employers to New Jersey.
Please join me, along with senior state and bi-state
officials and transportation advocates, for the 6th
Annual Governor’s Transportation Conference
sponsored by the New Jersey Alliance for Action where
we will discuss road and transit infrastructure projects
planned for the State, federal and state stimulus efforts,
and transportation policy.
I look forward to seeing you at what promises to be a
productive and successful conference
Sincerely,
JON S. CORZINE
Governor
