Described as “The Savior” by many in the construction industry, the New Jersey Turnpike Authority is in the midst of the largest public construction projects in the nation. Thousands of jobs are being created on the $2.5 billion project to widen the NJ Turnpike to six lanes in each direction for 35 miles and make associated bridge and interchange improvements between Exits 6 and 9. Thousands more are being created on the $900 million project to add one lane in each direction for the 50 miles between mileposts 30 and 80 along the Garden State Parkway. The New Jersey Alliance for Action is proud to honor the New Jersey Turnpike and its construction partners for these projects, which will create short term construction jobs, allow people and goods to efficiently move through New Jersey, improve the economy and help the environment. Please join us at this special breakfast on Friday, April 20, 2012 at 8:00 a.m. at the Robert B. Meyner Reception Center at the PNC Bank Arts Center.
