What's New
New Jersey continues to build relationships with Congressional leaders who will play important roles in reauthorization of the federal transportation funding program TEA-21.

The New Jersey Alliance for Action hosted a reception on March 17 for Senator Patty Murray, D-Washington, the ranking minority member of the Senate Transportation Appropriations Committee. The reception was held at the Newark Airport Marriott.

TEA-21 expires this year and New Jersey faces stiff competition from southern and western states for a fair share of federal transportation dollars in the renewal legislation.

A group of business, labor, and government transportation officials were on hand to meet Senator Murray. They included Alliance President Philip K. Beachem, Jamie Fox, the Governor’s Chief of Staff and former State Transportation Commissioner; DOT Commissioner Jack Lettiere; NJ Transit Executive Director George Warrington, and New Jersey Congressman Rush Holt.
